AIA ME Bahrain would like to invite you to a compelling talk by Dr. Ali Cheshmehzangi: "Pathways Towards Sustainable Development Patterns". 

In many ways, housing is a neglected part of the built environment.  Urban housing, in particular, is a growing and never ending market mainly driven by real estate.  Consequently, there are common development patterns that are seen in most cities of the world.

In this course, we will discuss opportunities to enhance urban housing and argue for methods of achieving sustainable urban development patterns.  You will also gain a comprehensive understanding of know-how approaches and alternative solutions to urban housing patterns.  We aim to put into discussion issues that are partly neglected in planning and policy and argue for progressive design and planning scenarios.
