AIA Middle East plans to organize a series of events including project tours, lectures by regional and international architects and professionals in the construction industry, film series, and panel discussions of relevant issues. These events will create a forum for the exchange of ideas and networking among industry professionals. For AIA members, these events will be recognized by AIA for continued education points.

Light design and implementation for the dome of rock.

The Course will address the lighting design and implementation of lighting the Dome of the rock project in Jerusalem. The Project was constructed 1300 years ago and represents the main element of the city of Jerusalem skyline, with a very unique design with a golden dome and blue octagonal body in the middle of the Jerusalem old city. the course will address three major challenges faced in the project:

1- How to reflect the significancy of the site in the Daytime in the night time.

2- Lighting in UNESCO reserved site constrains

3- Lighting of challenging facades between theory and

reality.
