AIA Middle East plans to organize a series of events including project tours, lectures by regional and international architects and professionals in the construction industry, film series, and panel discussions of relevant issues. These events will create a forum for the exchange of ideas and networking among industry professionals. For AIA members, these events will be recognized by AIA for continued education points.

Ahmed Al Jowder; Bahraini architect, urban planner & academic takes us through a journey of the development of the city of Muharraq.

The exploration will span the geographical morphological approach and the jurisprudence of development in Islamic culture and its effects on the its urban growth & architectural development.

We will explore Muharraq and its story along with its people and their institutions. This exploration will cover major writings about the city relating to its architecture and looking into the future.

*Attendance will earn participants 1 Unit of Continuing Education (CEU).
