For the last 100 years, Iraq was an experimental site for Iraqi and international architects
whose works shaped Iraq's modern architecture style.
Their work took place in Iraq and expanded to reach nearby countries. These unique and unrepeatable achievements in Iraq have been neglected and exposed to infringement.
Mohamed Ridha Al Chalabi (Iraqi architect, Author of several books, Assistant Professor in Baghdad University and a civilian activist) will explore this issue in his lecture about Modern Architecture in Iraq, its historical roots, reality challenges, and how it leads to identifying an Original Iraqi Temporary Architecture.
