AIA Middle East plans to organize a series of events including project tours, lectures by regional and international architects and professionals in the construction industry, film series, and panel discussions of relevant issues. These events will create a forum for the exchange of ideas and networking among industry professionals. For AIA members, these events will be recognized by AIA for continued education points.

AIA ME Lebanon in collaboration with Ramez G. Chaghoury Faculty of Architecture, Arts & Design at Notre Dame University - Louaize and AIAS NDU, cordially invites you to a lecture by Architect Bernard Mallat and Architect Walid Zeidan. Living in a messy, disorganized place like Lebanon is very taxing but also inspiring.

The organic growth and random nature of Beirut is a stimulus that elevates the creativity of this practice.

The resulting work, rather than confronting the environment it sits in, attempts to reinvent it; to use the idea of "Chaos" as a tool against itself, producing solutions that are often derived from local practices. The work of BM|WZ architects is always resolutely anchored in its context. It is conceptual and unapologetic about its nature.
